Dr. Srinivasan Ramakrishnan obtained his M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agri. Microbiology from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, and Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He served as an Assistant Professor in CDFST, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, from 2007 to 2012, and currently working as a Senior Scientist in ICAR-Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute, Jhansi. His area of specialization is Agricultural and Soil Microbiology and he is working on stress-tolerant inoculants bioformulations, PGPR for abiotic stress tolerance in plants, microbes for soil health, and nanotechnology applications in agriculture. He is a life member of nine professional societies and a recipient of six awards. He has guided eight masters and one Ph.D. students.

Prof. P. Ramasamy has stupendous academic and scientific records with more than 35 years of research experience. He has held academic/administrative positions such as a Vice Chancellor, Chairman, School of Life Sciences, Professor and Head of the Dept. He has obtained his doctoral degree from the University of Madras in 1983. He was a Post-Doctoral fellow (1982-84), Honorary Research Fellow (1993-1995, 1998- 2000) at the Queen’s University of Belfast, Northern Ireland, U.K., and “Department of Biotechnology National Research Associate (1990-91)” at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He has a significant number of research publications, reviews and books. He has made noteworthy contributions on “viral, bacterial and fungal diseases, parasitic diseases, bio-nano-materials, antimicrobials, and phage therapy”. He has taken a patent on a novel anti-viral agent from a plant and a process for the preparation of the said agent, besides filing and publishing 6 other patents.
